Game Overview

Krusty's Super Funhouse came out on the Sega Genesis in 1992, published by Acclaim Entertainment. It was one of those licensed games that felt a little different from the usual platformers of the time, trading in direct action for a more methodical, puzzle-oriented style. The game used the show's humor well, but it was the structure of the levels that really set it apart.

You control a kid who has to guide waves of rats through each stage of Krusty's carnival to a exit pipe. The main objective is to manipulate the environment; you use fans to blow the rodents in the right direction, open and close trap doors to create paths, and avoid hazards like falling anvils or electric floors. The pacing is slow and deliberate, more about thinking your way through than quick reflexes, though the later stages get quite difficult as the layouts become more complex and the hazards more frequent. It feels like conducting a stubborn, chaotic orchestra where every mistake sends your performers scattering.
