Brainbender is one of those Game Boy puzzles that starts simple—just sliding tiles around—but before long, you're staring at the screen like, "How the heck am I supposed to solve this?" It's got that perfect balance where solutions feel obvious... right after you've banged your head against them for 10 minutes.
The levels get seriously clever, mixing tile-swapping with little traps and obstacles that force you to think ahead. I remember getting stuck on one where the tiles kept resetting if you messed up the order—pure evil, but so satisfying when it finally clicks. The chiptune soundtrack even gets weirdly intense when you're down to your last move.
If you like puzzles that make you feel smart (after making you feel very dumb first), this one's a blast. Just don't blame me when you lose track of time trying to "fix" just one more level.
