Breath of Fire Improved is a GBA RPG that feels like a polished version of an old favorite. The first hour is mostly wandering through forests and caves, getting into turn-based fights while figuring out how the dragon transformations work. It's slow at first, but once you unlock a few abilities, combat gets more interesting.

I remember stumbling into a boss fight way underleveled and barely scraping by after burning through all my healing items. The dragon forms saved me, but managing their limited uses adds tension. The world has that classic JRPG charm, though some areas feel empty between towns.
