Play Buck Bumble Online
Take control of Buck, the cyber bee, as you fly through outdoor levels, complete missions, and battle enemy insects with your weapons and acrobatic moves.
Buck Bumble came out on the Nintendo 64 in 1998, developed by Argonaut Software. It was one of those mid-lifecycle N64 games that tried something a little different, a 3D shooter that wasn't afraid to be a bit weird. You don't see many games where you play as a cybernetically enhanced bumblebee.
You control Buck, a combat-ready bee, flying freely through large outdoor environments. The main goal is to complete missions, which usually involve hunting down specific enemy insects or protecting friendly units. Signature mechanics include tight, acrobatic flight controls that let you barrel roll and hover, and a targeting system for your various projectile weapons. The pacing is mission-based, with some objectives feeling more like straightforward combat and others demanding careful exploration. It can be challenging when enemies swarm you from all angles. Flying through the fields, engaging in dogfights with wasps, just feels uniquely satisfying.
