Burning Force is one of those Sega Genesis gems that makes you feel like you're actually flying. You play as Hiromi, this badass blue-haired girl tearing through the sky on her red airbike—until, surprise, aliens show up and ruin everyone's day. Now it's just you, your bike, and a whole lot of enemy ships to blast.
The behind-the-back view gives it this cool pseudo-3D feel, kind of like Space Harrier but with way more attitude. You've got your basic shots for chipping away at enemies, but the real fun comes from those limited super attacks that just erase everything in front of you. Boss fights get intense fast, and dodging feels way more satisfying when you're weaving through bullets at high speed.
It's got that classic arcade vibe where you'll probably crash into a canyon wall at least twice before getting the hang of it. But once you do, pulling off tight turns while returning fire never gets old.
