You pick from four heroes: Captain America, Iron Man, Hawkeye, or Vision. The goal is to fight through screen after screen of enemies to stop the Red Skull. You use each character's unique weapon, like Cap's shield or Hawkeye's arrows, and you can call in assists from other Avengers for a quick screen-clearing attack. The levels are linear, moving you from left to right through city streets and enemy bases, and the difficulty can get pretty punishing, especially with the constant enemy spawns. It feels chaotic and a little messy, but in a way that makes you want to try just one more time.
