So Carthage_Disk1 is this weird little Amiga gem where you’re basically trying to stop Rome from steamrolling Carthage—except it’s not your typical strategy game. You’ve got catapults and war elephants, but good luck finding them before the Romans show up. And forget about building anything; it’s more about grabbing what’s already there and holding the high ground.
Your troops get better (and happier) the more they win, but push them too hard and they’ll just collapse from exhaustion. Oh, and paying them? That’s a whole mess—you’ve got to trade goods for cash, then haul the money around in chariots. Which, for some reason, turns into this frantic racing minigame where you’re dodging trees, rocks, and Roman chariots (who, by the way, are always going the same direction as you—no idea why). Bump into anything and poof, there goes your payroll.
It’s janky, unpredictable, and honestly kind of brilliant in its own chaotic way. You’ll either love it or throw your joystick across the room.
