Play Chameleon Twist 2 Online
Guide Davy the chameleon through quirky levels, using his tongue to swing, solving puzzles, and bouncing through the air to defeat enemies and keep moving forward.
Chameleon Twist 2 came out for the Nintendo 64 in 1999, developed by Japan System Supply and published by Sunsoft. It was one of those quirky, lesser-known platformers that filled out the N64 library, arriving at a time when 3D exploration was still finding its feet. The game never reached the same recognition as some of the system's heavy hitters, but it had a small, dedicated following.
You control a colorfully dressed chameleon named Davy, navigating through a series of imaginative, screen-based levels. The main goal involves progressing through each stage, defeating enemies and solving environmental puzzles to advance. Two key mechanics define the action: you use Davy's extendable tongue to grapple onto hooks and swing across gaps, and you can also inflate like a balloon to float through the air or bounce off hazards. The pacing is brisk, though the controls can feel a bit slippery and the camera sometimes works against you. Playing it feels like managing a cheerful, slightly unwieldy toy.
