Chaos Engine 2 is one of those Amiga games that feels like it was made by people who really understood how to squeeze every last drop of fun out of the hardware. You pick from a squad of mercenaries—each with their own weird quirks—and then blast through steampunk levels packed with traps, secrets, and way too many things trying to kill you.
The first time I played, I went with the guy who throws dynamite, which was a mistake because I kept blowing myself up. Turns out the sniper works better if you like staying alive. The pixel art still holds up, especially the way enemies explode into satisfying little chunks.
It’s tough, but in that old-school way where you actually learn patterns instead of just grinding. Just don’t expect the disk drive to stay quiet—this thing loves to screech while loading.
