Chō Makaimura R on the GBA is basically Ghosts 'n Goblins cranked up to 11—same armor-clad Arthur, same "die in two hits" panic, but now with way more ways to suffer. The first five minutes go like this: you pick a weapon (the lance feels safe until a bat dive-bombs you), leap over some zombies, then immediately get flattened by a rolling boulder you totally saw coming. Classic.

They’ve added new stages and enemies, but the real surprise is Casual Mode—which just means you’ll only throw your GBA *half* as hard. The pixel art’s gorgeous, though, all moody purples and snarling demons, and that jittery soundtrack still nails the "oh no" vibe. If you miss the days when games kicked your teeth in with a smile, this one’s waiting with open arms (and a spiked club).
