Chuuka Taisen, known in English as Cloud Master, came out for the NES in 1989, developed by Hot-B and published by Taito. It was part of that wave of side-scrolling shooters that filled the NES library, offering a colorful, fast-paced alternative to some of the more methodical platformers of the time.

You control a young boy riding a cloud, moving left to right through levels filled with enemy creatures and obstacles. Your main goal is to survive each stage and defeat the boss waiting at the end. The game moves quickly, and the difficulty ramps up steadily, especially during boss fights that demand quick reflexes.
