Game Overview

CIMA: The Enemy came out on the Game Boy Advance in 2003, developed by Neverland and published by Atlus. It was part of that era on the GBA where you saw a lot of interesting, smaller-scale RPGs and puzzle adventures that tried to do something a bit different with the hardware.

You control a group of people trapped inside a massive, shifting structure called the Barrier, and your goal is to guide them all to the exit. The core of the game is managing your party's unique abilities to solve environmental puzzles; one character can push blocks, another can activate switches, and so on. You move screen by screen through these maze-like areas, and if you use the characters in the wrong order, you often have to backtrack through previously cleared rooms. The pacing is deliberate, almost methodical, and the difficulty comes from planning your route carefully. It feels tense and thoughtful, like you're always working a step ahead of the game's logic.
