Game Overview
You play as Cobra, a martial artist out for revenge after the Black Monk’s soldiers murder his master. It’s classic beat 'em up action—think fast punches, high kicks, and a whole lot of enemies to knock down. The animation’s surprisingly smooth for an Amiga game, with no choppiness when things get hectic. And yeah, the colors pop—48 on screen at once, which was pretty wild back then.
There are 11 levels split between combat and weirdly intense qualifying rounds (like, why does a revenge story need qualifying rounds? No idea, but they’re there). The training mode helps you get the timing right before diving into the real fights. Oh, and the music? It’s that crunchy Amiga synth stuff that somehow makes kicking people in the face feel even better.
It’s not the deepest fighter, but if you’re into old-school brawlers with a revenge plot and flashy visuals, this one’s a solid pick. Just don’t expect the Black Monk to go down easy.
