Game Overview

Continental Circus on the Amiga might not have the arcade version’s 3D effects or those funky glasses, but it still nails the tense, chaotic feel of racing through a packed field. You start in Brazil with a ridiculous 100 cars on track—just finishing in the top 80 feels like a miracle at first. The later races get slightly less crowded, but the pressure ramps up as the qualification cutoff gets stricter.

Your car has high and low gears, which actually matters when you’re weaving through traffic. One wrong bump into another car or the scenery, and you’re forced to limp back to the pits—if you don’t make it in time or crash again, you lose precious seconds. It’s brutal but weirdly addictive once you get the hang of threading through the madness.
