Continental Circus is one of those arcade racers that feels simple at first—until you realize how punishing it can be. You start in Brazil with a massive grid of 100 cars, and just squeezing into the top 80 feels like a victory. The weird part? The races get smaller but somehow harder, with tighter qualifying thresholds each time.
The gear shifting (high and low) gives it an old-school feel, but the real challenge is avoiding crashes. Bump another car or clip the scenery, and you’re forced to pit—miss the pit lane or hit something again, and you’re stuck watching your car spin out for what feels like forever. It’s frustrating in that way where you keep saying “one more try.” The arcade version had 3D and special glasses, but even without them, this port nails the tense, chaotic energy of the original.
