Play Crack Down (Japan) (Rev A) Online
Toss bombs into packed corridors, spray bullets at swarming enemies, and try not to blow up your co-op partner in this Genesis-era riot of explosions and pixelated mayhem.
Crack Down came out for the Sega Genesis in 1990, developed and published by Sega. It was part of that early wave of action games on the system, built for quick sessions and straightforward, explosive fun rather than deep storytelling or complex mechanics.
You control an armored agent tasked with clearing multi-floor buildings by planting bombs at designated terminals while fighting off relentless enemy spawns. The screen scrolls automatically, forcing you to keep moving as you shoot, toss grenades, and avoid both enemy fire and your own explosions. Friendly fire is always on, so co-op play becomes a chaotic dance of coordination and accidental sabotage. The pace is fast, the difficulty steep, and every cleared room brings a short burst of relief before the next wave closes in. It feels tense and messy in the best way, like barely staying ahead of a disaster you helped create.
