Play Crack Down Online
Team up as an anti-terrorist agent, dodge guards and drones, plant bombs on reactor cores, and blast your way through chaotic, maze-like levels in Crack Down.
Crack Down came out for the Sega Genesis in 1990, developed and published by Sega. It was part of that early wave of action games that really pushed the hardware, with a gritty, industrial look that felt distinct from a lot of the brighter, more cartoonish titles on the platform at the time.
You control an anti-terrorist agent armed with timed grenades, moving screen by screen through multi-level, maze-like facilities. Your goal is to plant bombs on reactor cores to destroy each stage, all while dodging or eliminating guards, drones, and automated turrets. The grenade arc and timer add a layer of tactics to the frantic shooting, and the two-player co-op mode turns the whole operation into a chaotic but coordinated effort. The difficulty is relentless, with enemies swarming from all directions and the level timer constantly pressuring you to move fast. It feels like a tense, explosive race against overwhelming odds.
