Play Darius II Online
Dodge giant robot fish, pick your path through alien oceans, and panic when King Fossil fills the screen—your tiny ship’s arsenal somehow feels just enough. That Genesis soundtrack still slaps.

Darius II on the Sega Genesis is one of those games that makes you stop and go, "Wait, why are we fighting robot fish again?" But honestly, it doesn’t matter—because blasting through waves of mechanical sea creatures with a screen-filling arsenal is just stupid fun. The first time you see a crab boss the size of a small building, you’ll either laugh or panic. Maybe both.
The branching paths are a nice touch—pick a route, deal with whatever nightmare fish the game throws at you, and hope you grabbed the right power-ups. The soundtrack’s all synthy chaos, perfect for the underwater alien war vibe. And yeah, King Fossil is still terrifying, even on the Genesis.
It’s not the deepest shooter, but it’s got more personality than most. You’ll probably die a lot, but that’s half the fun. Just try not to get hypnotized by the weird, wobbly enemy designs.
