Denki Blocks! came out for the Game Boy Advance in 2001, developed by Denki. You don't control a character so much as you manipulate the entire puzzle field, sliding different colored blocks around the screen. The goal is to connect all the blocks of the same color into a single, contiguous group. The main mechanics involve planning your slides carefully, as every move shifts an entire row or column, and using special "anchor" blocks that cannot be moved to help corral the others. The pacing is deliberate, almost meditative at the start, but the difficulty ramps up significantly, demanding real spatial foresight.
