Game Overview

Designasaurus is this weirdly charming Amiga game where you get to play mad scientist with dinosaurs. You start by piecing together your own dino—mixing and matching body parts, colors, and even weird little accessories. At first, I just slapped together whatever looked funny, but then I got weirdly invested in making a "perfect" stegosaurus.

Once your creation’s done, you can actually take it for a walk through different prehistoric environments. The ecosystems are surprisingly detailed for an old-school game—jungles, deserts, even icy tundras. Watching your franken-dino stomp around is oddly satisfying, especially when you realize you gave it tiny arms that barely reach anything.

Oh, and if you had a printer back in the day, you could actually print out your designs. I never did, but the idea of sticking a badly pixelated T-rex on the fridge still makes me smile.
