Detroit on the Amiga is one of those weird, early '90s strategy games that feels like someone threw cyberpunk, city-building, and a spreadsheet into a blender. You play as a megacorp CEO in a dystopian future, buying up districts, managing resources, and occasionally dealing with riots when you push the little people too hard.
The interface is pure Amiga—chunky icons, a mess of menus, and that satisfying click sound when you confirm an action. At first, it’s overwhelming (why are there so many sliders?), but after a few failed attempts at cornering the market, you start figuring out which factories actually turn a profit.
It’s not pretty by today’s standards, but there’s something weirdly satisfying about watching your corporate empire slowly swallow the city whole. Just don’t expect the citizens to thank you for it.
