Game Overview

Dexanoid came out on the Nintendo 64 in 1999, published by Natsume. It was one of those late-era N64 releases that didn't get a lot of attention, but it offered a fresh, more aggressive take on the block-breaking genre that felt right at home on the system.

You control a paddle at the bottom of the screen, deflecting a ball to break all the bricks above. The main goal is to clear each stage, but things get wild with power-ups that let your paddle shoot, catch the ball, or even split it into three. Some screens flip gravity, turning the ceiling into the floor, and the difficulty ramps up quickly with complex brick patterns and fast rebounds. It feels frantic and satisfying when everything finally clicks into place.
