I picked up Disney's The Jungle Book 2 for the Game Boy Advance back in 2003, a Ubi Soft release that fit right in with the era's fondness for licensed platformers. It wasn't trying to reinvent anything, just offering a straightforward adventure based on the film, something you'd pop into your GBA for some quick, colorful fun between bigger games.

You control Mowgli, moving screen by screen through jungle environments, jumping across platforms and avoiding enemies like snakes and monkeys. The main goal is to progress through each level, often by finding keys or triggering switches, while collecting fruit for points and extra lives. A couple of the mechanics stand out: you can bounce off vines to reach higher areas, and Baloo occasionally joins in to break obstacles blocking your path. The pacing is fairly relaxed, though some sections demand careful timing, and the difficulty stays manageable for younger players. It feels simple and cheerful, a light distraction that captures the movie's energy without demanding too much effort.
