Game Overview
Disney Sports: Skateboarding is one of those weirdly fun GBA games where Mickey and the gang suddenly become pro skaters. You pick your favorite Disney character—Goofy’s lanky animations are hilarious—and hit the streets, pulling off ollies, grinds, and flips in levels that range from city rooftops to a beach boardwalk.
The controls take a minute to get used to, but once you figure out the timing for tricks, it’s satisfying to chain combos together. There’s a surprising amount of depth here, with different skateboards to unlock and four game modes that mix up the objectives. The half-pipe mode is my favorite—Donald Duck doing a 360 kickflip never gets old.
It’s not Tony Hawk, but for a Disney-themed skate game, it’s way more fun than it has any right to be. The cartoony style and upbeat music make it perfect for quick sessions when you just want something lighthearted.
