Game Overview

Dogz on the Game Boy Advance is basically a Tamagotchi but with way more personality—and way more pixelated wagging tails. You pick a little dog (I always went for the scruffy terrier-looking one), name it something ridiculous, and suddenly you're in charge of keeping this tiny creature alive. Feed it, play fetch, give it baths when it gets muddy—the usual dog stuff, just with chunky GBA sprites.

What surprised me was how quickly I got attached. The animations are simple but full of charm—your pup actually looks excited when you pull out a toy, or sulks if you ignore it too long. And yeah, it’s low-stakes compared to modern games, but there’s something weirdly satisfying about watching your pixel dog finally nail that "roll over" trick after five failed attempts.

If you miss the days when virtual pets fit in your pocket and didn’t need Wi-Fi, this one’s a warm little nostalgia trip. Just don’t blame me when you catch yourself saying "good boy" to your Game Boy.
