Game Overview

Doofus is this weird little Amiga platformer where you play as, well, a doofus—some lovable idiot trying to make his way through levels without getting himself or his dog killed. The whole thing scrolls backward (right to left), which throws you off at first, and your dog just mindlessly trails behind like a furry liability.

You’ve got platforms stacked at different heights, so sometimes you take the high road, sometimes the low, and half the time you’re just winging it. Most enemies can be shot, but some you’ve gotta jump over—or awkwardly avoid while your dog barrels toward danger. There are power-ups scattered around, like better weapons, but good luck grabbing them without faceplanting into a hazard first. It’s janky in that classic Amiga way, but weirdly charming once you get the hang of it.

Honestly, the dog might stress you out more than the actual platforming.
