You play as some poor schmub trying to platform while your dumb dog constantly almost kills itself following you—grabbing weird power-ups helps, but mostly you're just yelling at the screen when the mutt walks into spikes again.
Game Overview
Doofus is this weird little 90s platformer where you’re just some guy running left to right with a dog that won’t leave you alone. Seriously, the mutt follows you everywhere—jump over a pit, and the poor thing barely makes it across. You’ve gotta keep both of you alive, which gets tricky when enemies show up or the level decides to throw bottomless gaps at you.
It’s got that classic MS-DOS jank—clunky controls, questionable hitboxes—but there’s something oddly charming about it. You’ll stumble on random power-ups like a boomerang or some kind of… fireball thing? Honestly, half the weapons feel like they were added last minute. The dog’s AI is either impressively loyal or just broken, depending on how many times it walks into spikes.
If you’re into obscure retro platformers with more personality than polish, this one’s a weird time capsule.
Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
