Ever wondered what Sonic would be like if he ditched the spin dash and just... shot things instead? Sonic With a Gun (SWAG) is this weirdly perfect MS-DOS mashup where someone crammed Sonic’s speed and loop-de-loops into Jazz Jackrabbit’s run-and-gun chaos. You’re still blasting through colorful zones, but now you’ve got a gun—and honestly, it feels surprisingly natural after the first few jumps.

The levels look like someone remixed Sonic 2 and CD with Jazz’s art style—recognizable but just different enough to keep you on your toes. You’ll bounce off springs, dodge spikes, and then immediately unload bullets into robot crabs. The physics are still very Sonic (wall jumps feel great), but Jazz’s weapons add this layer of strategy where you’re picking off enemies instead of just plowing through them.

It’s a love letter to both games, but it doesn’t just copy-paste them together. The devs actually rebuilt everything to make it work, and it shows. If you’ve got a soft spot for janky, creative DOS-era mods, this one’s a blast.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
