Sonic With a Gun (SWAG) is a creative MS-DOS mod that reimagines the Sonic universe through the lens of Jazz Jackrabbit, blending the speed and platforming of Sega’s iconic series with the run-and-gun mechanics of Jazz. The game features six original planets/zones, each with custom graphics, enemies, and level designs inspired by Sonic 2, Sonic CD, and other entries—but rebuilt using assets from Jazz Jackrabbit. Unlike traditional Sonic games, SWAG retains Jazz’s signature weapon-based combat, allowing players to shoot foes instead of relying on spin jumps.

Developed as a tribute to both franchises, SWAG reworks nearly all visuals and layouts to fit the Jazz engine while preserving Sonic’s wall-running physics. The result is a fresh hybrid that feels like Jazz exploring a Sonic-inspired world—complete with familiar ammunition types and inventive twists on classic obstacles. It’s a unique crossover for fans of retro platformers, offering a clever mix of speed and firepower.
Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
