Play South Island Adventure (Sonic 1 Hack) Online
You still speed through familiar zones, but the remixed layouts and brutal enemy placements keep you on your toes—that crumbling Green Hill section still catches me off guard.

Game Overview
South Island Adventure is one of those Sonic 1 hacks that actually gets it right—it feels like someone dug into the original game and tweaked just enough to make it interesting again without wrecking what made it fun. You still blast through loops and bounce off badniks, but the levels have these sneaky alternate routes I didn’t notice until my third playthrough. Some of the enemy placements are downright evil though—watch out for the revamped Marble Zone traps.
The colors pop a little differently, and there’s this one section in what used to be Green Hill where the ground suddenly crumbles faster than you’d expect. It’s the kind of hack that makes you mutter "Oh come on" in the best way possible. If you’ve got muscle memory for the original, prepare to relearn a few things.
Honestly, it’s the closest thing to playing Sonic 1 for the first time again.
