I picked up Dr. Seuss' The Cat in the Hat for the Game Boy Advance back in 2004. It was developed by Digital Eclipse, and it felt like a natural fit for the handheld, with its bright colors and simple, cartoonish style. At the time, licensed platformers were everywhere, and this one stood out because it tried to capture the look and feel of the book.
You control the Cat, moving through screen by screen, jumping on platforms and stacking objects to reach higher areas. The main goal is to clean up the mess before Mom gets home, which means collecting scattered toys and items. Thing 1 and Thing 2 pop up now and then, adding some unpredictable chaos to the puzzles. The pace is brisk, and some jumps require good timing, but it's not overly difficult. It feels like a light, playful romp through a familiar story.
