Duck Tales: The Quest for Gold on the Amiga is one of those classic platformers that feels like it was made for lazy Sunday afternoons. You play as Scrooge McDuck, bouncing around on his cane like some kind of wealthy, feathery pogo stick, collecting treasures and outsmarting Beagle Boys. The controls are simple but satisfying—once you get the hang of the cane bounce, you’ll be ricocheting off enemies like a pro.
The levels are bright and full of little secrets, and the music (especially the Moon theme) is weirdly catchy for something from the late '80s. It’s not the hardest game out there, but there’s something charming about the way it balances exploration with straightforward action. Just watch out for those minecart sections—they’re trickier than they look.
