DuckTales: The Quest for Gold came out in 1990 for MS-DOS, published by Walt Disney Computer Software. You don't see many games from that era that ask you to manage both real-time exploration and an economic clock.
You control Scrooge McDuck, traveling across different maps to gather treasure and out-earn your rival Flintheart Glomgold. The game combines screen-by-screen exploration with light platforming; you dig for gems, avoid hazards like snakes and birds, and even pilot a plane through obstacle-filled stages. Meanwhile, a live stock market runs in the background, affecting prices for the treasures you sell. It's not an easy game—the controls can be unforgiving, and your nephews sometimes get in the way with unhelpful "advice." Playing it feels like a constant race against time and your own mistakes.
Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
