Game Overview

Virgin Interactive released Aladdin for MS-DOS in 1994, a time when many games were still finding their footing with PC controls and color palettes. It was a straightforward adaptation of the popular Disney film, designed to run on the hardware of the era without much fuss or graphical ambition.

You control Aladdin through a series of side scrolling levels, jumping across platforms and dodging palace guards. Your main goal is to rescue Princess Jasmine from Jafar, which involves navigating through Agrabah's streets, the sultan's dungeon, and the Cave of Wonders. You can throw apples to stun enemies or collect gems to earn extra lives. The pacing is quick, and some jumps require precise timing, making it a challenging but fair experience. It feels like a direct, no nonsense translation of the movie's action into a playable form.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
