Dudes With Attitude is the kind of NES game that makes you go, "Wait, this was actually released?" It's an unlicensed beat-'em-up where you control a gang of sunglasses-wearing tough guys who fight like they're in a bad '80s action movie—complete with exaggerated punches, weirdly floaty jumps, and enemies that explode into coins for no reason.
The first time I played, I couldn't stop laughing at how over-the-top everything is. Your dude literally struts between fights, and the soundtrack sounds like someone recorded a Casio keyboard through a tin can. The hit detection is questionable at best, but that almost adds to the charm—like the developers knew they weren't making Street Fighter and just leaned into the chaos.
It's way more fun with two players, mostly because you can watch each other get wrecked by the game's bizarre enemy patterns. I still have no idea why some stages have random pits you can fall into, but hey, that's the "attitude" part, I guess. If you dig weird retro games that feel like they were coded in a weekend, this one's a riot.
