You wake up in this bleak, run-down world where everything’s gone wrong—wilted trees, starving villagers, the whole place feels like it’s barely holding on. Your mission? Find your friend and maybe, just maybe, fix some of this mess. The graphics do a surprisingly good job of making you feel the weight of it all, with little details like cracked walls and empty market stalls.
Controls are simple—mostly keyboard, though you can click around the bottom screen if you’re feeling lazy. Walk north, south, whatever, poke at objects, and try to get people to talk (good luck with that—half of them are too exhausted to chat). The puzzles aren’t brutal, but they make you think, especially when you’re juggling items and clues. I got stuck for way too long trying to figure out what to do with a rusty bucket.
It’s one of those games where the atmosphere sticks with you, even after you’ve put it down.
