Dropping bombs in tight mazes, trying to outsmart those balloon jerks without blowing yourself up—way harder than it looks. Link cable multiplayer turns it into a hilarious battle of who panics first.

Dynablaster, released by Hudson Soft for the Game Boy in 1991, was one of the many portable adaptations of the Bomberman formula that found a home on Nintendo's handheld. In an era where puzzle and action games thrived on small screens, it offered a condensed but faithful take on the series, fitting right in among other pick-up-and-play titles of the time.
You control a small character who navigates maze-like levels, placing bombs to destroy obstacles and defeat enemies. The main goal is to clear each screen of foes while avoiding getting caught in your own explosions or cornered by pursuing enemies. Key mechanics include collecting power-ups to increase your bomb blast radius and speed, as well as finding items that let you kick bombs or detonate them remotely. The pacing is tense; one wrong move can end your run quickly, especially in later stages where enemies move faster and layouts become more complex. It feels satisfying to plan a route, trap an opponent, and escape just before the blast goes off.
