Embryo_Disk3 is one of those Amiga games that feels like it shouldn’t work but somehow does. You’re in this weirdly detailed cockpit view—gauges everywhere, a radar blipping away—but really, it’s just an excuse to blast aliens. Turns out humanity woke them up with atomic tests (oops), and now you’re stuck cleaning up the mess in a fighter that handles like a shopping cart with afterburners.
The missions are straightforward: follow the radar, shoot anything that moves, and try not to get your wings shot off. The damage system’s kinda neat—your ship can take localized hits, so sometimes you’re limping back to base with half your controls fried. And yeah, there are power-ups, but half the time you’re too busy dodging fire to even notice them. It’s janky, loud, and weirdly satisfying once you get the hang of it.
Definitely a product of its time, but in a way that makes you grin more than groan.
