Escape from the Planet of the Robot Monsters came out in 1990 for MS-DOS, published by Domark Software. It was part of that wave of early 90s computer games that tried to do something a little different with perspective and action. The isometric view gave it a distinct look, even if the graphics were blocky by today's standards.
You control a space marine dropped into a robot factory. Your goal is simple: rescue human hostages and get out alive. You move screen by screen, avoiding laser fire, punching robots, and flipping switches to open doors. The pacing is relentless; enemies spawn constantly, and the levels are packed with hazards. It feels frantic and a little unforgiving, but pulling off a clean rescue run is genuinely satisfying.
Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
