Eurit (Proto) is a 1995 Super Nintendo Entertainment System game, published by THQ, that never saw a full commercial release. It exists as a prototype from the later years of the SNES, a period when developers were still finding new ways to use the hardware.
You control a small character in a top-down arena, tasked with grabbing flags while avoiding being tagged by an opponent. The main objective is to collect more flags than the other player or CPU; if you get touched, you become "it" and must now chase the other character. The game relies on quick reflexes, sudden direction changes, and using the environment to block your pursuer. It moves at a frantic pace, and the difficulty comes from the persistent pressure of being hunted. Playing it feels like a tense game of tag translated directly into pixelated action.
