Game Overview

This Amiga football game actually tries to feel like the real thing, which was rare back then. You can switch between a top-down view (like Kick Off) or a side-on angle—I usually stuck with top-down because it just clicked better for me. The passing has some depth to it: you can ping quick one-twos or launch a risky long ball if you’re feeling brave.

There’s a surprising amount of tweaking before matches—wind strength, how wrecked the pitch is, even how long you want the game to last. The tournaments let you take one of 32 European clubs through leagues or cups, and the higher difficulty levels will absolutely punish sloppy play. It’s one of those games where you lose track of time arguing with the ref over a dodgy offside call.
