Play Exerion (Japan) Online
Tiny ship, big trouble—dodge enemy swarms while the background scrolls in that cool old-school way. Brutal but weirdly satisfying when you thread through the chaos.

Exerion is one of those early NES shooters that feels a little rough around the edges but has this weird charm to it. You pilot a tiny ship scrolling upward, blasting enemy formations that swoop in from all angles. The controls are simple—just shoot and move—but the hit detection can be brutal if you're not careful.
What stands out is the parallax scrolling in the background, which was pretty impressive for 1983. The music’s got that classic arcade vibe too, though it loops a little too quickly. It’s not the deepest shooter out there, but there’s something satisfying about clearing waves of enemies before they overwhelm you.
If you’re into retro games, it’s a neat little time capsule from Jaleco’s early Famicom days.
