Play Exodus Online
You push blocks and dig tunnels as Moses, blasting W-shaped holy projectiles at Pharaoh’s goons between answering Bible trivia—all set to a painfully catchy 8-bit hymn.

Exodus came out in 1987 for the NES, published by Color Dreams. It was one of those many unlicensed games that floated around, trying to carve out a space on the console with something different. You don't see many games quite like it, even from that era.
You control Moses, and your goal is to lead the Israelites out of Egypt. The gameplay is a mix of action and puzzle solving. You blast enemies with these W-shaped holy projectiles, push blocks to clear paths, and dig through soft sand to create tunnels. The screen scrolls as you move, and you have to answer Bible trivia questions to open certain doors. It's a strange, sometimes clunky combination, and the difficulty can spike unexpectedly. Playing it feels like navigating a very earnest, slightly awkward Sunday school lesson that somehow got turned into a video game.
