Game Overview

Explorer on the Amiga is one of those puzzle games that looks simple at first—just grab all the gold before time runs out—but quickly turns into a frantic, brain-bending mess (in a good way). You play as John Smith, a gold digger who somehow ends up in a maze of crates, teleporters, and weird matter bridges. Half the time, you’ll be shoving boxes around just to clear a path, only to realize you’ve accidentally trapped yourself.

The levels get mean fast. Some tiles blow up if you step on them, others force you to keep moving unless you block them with two crates—which, of course, you never have enough of. And those teleporters? They’re more of a gamble than a shortcut. The timer’s always ticking, but if you finish early, you get bonus points, so there’s this weird balance between speed and not screwing yourself over.

There are 60 levels, and each one gives you a password so you don’t have to replay everything. Honestly, you’ll need it—some of these puzzles feel like they were designed by someone who enjoys watching players suffer. But in that satisfying, "one more try" kind of way.
