Play Extreme-G XG2 (E) Online
You wrestle a heavy, rocket-powered bike through insane loops at breakneck speeds, slinging missiles at rivals while the track tries to throw you off. Pure N64 chaos, especially with friends screaming next to you.

Extreme-G XG2 came out on the Nintendo 64 in 1998, published by Acclaim Entertainment. It was part of that wave of futuristic racers on the system, sitting alongside titles like F-Zero X, but with a heavier focus on combat and a much darker, tech-heavy aesthetic. The game didn't reinvent the wheel, but it carved out its own niche with a specific kind of intensity.
You pilot an armed grav bike through twisting, multi-level tracks, racing against a pack of aggressive opponents. The main objective is straightforward: finish first while surviving. Your signature tools are an array of weapons, from homing missiles to plasma bolts, which you use to disable other racers; a turbo boost that drains your shield energy, adding a constant risk-reward element; and a shield system that also acts as your health and energy meter. The pacing is relentless, and the difficulty can be punishing, especially on later courses where the track designs become brutally complex. It feels like hanging on for dear life at 300 miles per hour while everything around you is exploding.
