Game Overview

F-14 Tomcat on the GBA is one of those rare games that makes you forget you're holding a tiny handheld. The second you take off, the screen tilts and twists with that slick Mode7 effect, and suddenly you're weaving between mountains or diving to avoid missiles. It's arcadey as hell—no fussing with fuel gauges or landing gear, just throttle up and start blasting.

What surprised me was how good it feels to play. The controls are tight, and locking onto enemy jets has that satisfying "beep-beep-BOOM" rhythm. Some missions throw ridiculous numbers of bogeys at you, and dodging a swarm of missiles while your wingman yells warnings never gets old. If you've got a soft spot for 90s flight shooters or just want something fast and loud on your GBA, this one's a blast.

Just don't expect to put it down after one mission—that "one more run" hook is strong with this one.
