F-15 City War is one of those weird, unlicensed NES games that somehow ended up being way more fun than it had any right to be. You're basically dumped into a tiny fighter jet and thrown at waves of enemy tanks, helicopters, and turrets—all while weaving between buildings that look like they were drawn in five minutes. It shouldn't work, but it does.

The first time I played, I crashed into a skyscraper within seconds because the hitboxes are... generous. But once you get the hang of it, there's something satisfying about how straightforward it is. No power-ups, no complicated mechanics—just you, your bullets, and a whole lot of things to shoot. The music loops endlessly, the explosions are comically oversized, and somehow that all adds to the charm.

If you've ever wasted quarters on arcade shooters where everything moves just a little too fast, this feels like a home version of that exact vibe. It's janky in the best way possible.
