Play Famicom Mini 14 : Wrecking Crew Online

Mario’s swinging a hammer instead of jumping this time—smash walls, trick enemies into doing the dirty work, and try not to get cornered when the whole structure starts crumbling around you. Those later levels? One wrong swing and you’re stuck with an angry fireball guy breathing down your neck.

Game Overview

Famicom Mini 14: Wrecking Crew is one of those weird early Mario games where he’s not jumping on Goombas—just swinging a hammer and tearing down walls like a construction worker on a caffeine rush. The controls are simple (left, right, smash), but the levels get sneaky fast—you’ll dodge fireballs, trick enemies into wrecking stuff for you, and sometimes just panic when everything collapses at once.

It’s got that classic NES charm, right down to the bouncy music and pixel-perfect chaos. I kept forgetting Mario could climb ladders, which led to some very avoidable deaths. The later stages really make you think before swinging, though—knock out the wrong block, and suddenly you’re trapped with a very angry enemy.

Perfect for quick sessions when you want something arcade-y but with a little more strategy than mindless smashing. Also, Mario in overalls with a hammer just feels right.
