Game Overview
So, Fantastic 4: Flame On for the GBA is basically what happens when Johnny Storm gets the spotlight—and honestly, it’s about time. The game kicks off with that classic cosmic ray accident, but instead of juggling all four heroes, you’re stuck playing as the Human Torch. Which, let’s be real, is the best one anyway.
You’ll be flying (literally) through side-scrolling levels, torching Skrulls with fireballs, flaming uppercuts, and even pulling off flashy special moves like the Supernova once you’ve wrecked enough enemies to fill your meter. The controls take a second to get used to—Johnny’s floaty when he’s airborne—but once it clicks, zipping around and setting everything on fire feels pretty great.
There’s some light collecting (rescue hostages, grab crystals), but mostly it’s just about burning your way through waves of Skrulls while the game throws increasingly ridiculous obstacles at you. Not the deepest platformer, but if you ever wanted to live out that "Flame on!" fantasy, this’ll do the trick.
