Fantasy Flyer is one of those Amiga games that feels like it was made by someone who just really loved flying. You hop into this little fantasy aircraft—sort of a cross between a dragon and a biplane—and just zoom around colorful, slightly surreal landscapes. No complicated controls, no endless tutorials, just you and the sky.
The disk version means you’ll get that classic Amiga loading screen anticipation, but once it’s up, it’s pure, simple fun. The music’s got that unmistakable Amiga charm too—chipper synths that somehow never get old. If you’ve got a joystick handy, even better.
It’s not the deepest game out there, but sometimes you just want to coast over pixel-art clouds and dodge the occasional floating obstacle. Perfect for a quick escape.
