Game Overview

Fears came out on the Amiga in 1995, a point-and-click horror adventure from developers The Vision Factory and publisher Team17. It arrived late in the Amiga's life, a time when many players were already looking toward newer systems, but it offered a specific kind of moody, supernatural experience for those still dedicated to the platform.

You control a protagonist exploring a haunted mansion, interacting with the environment by clicking to move and examine objects. The main objective is to solve a series of logical and inventory-based puzzles to uncover the dark secrets of the place and ultimately escape. Signature mechanics include screen-by-screen exploration of the eerie, detailed environments and combining items in your possession to progress past obstacles. The pacing is deliberate, often slow, with a difficulty that comes from obscure puzzle solutions rather than action. It feels like patiently picking a lock in a very quiet, very dark room.
